31 साल की अनु की एक बिजनसमैन से शादी हुई है। चार साल पहले वह एक बेटे की मां भी बनीं। अनु ने दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय के हिन्दू कॉलेज से फिजिक्स में ग्रैजुएशन किया है। इसके बाद उन्होंने आईएमटी नागपुर से एमबीए किया और कुछ दिन गुरुग्राम में एक कंपनी में नौकरी भी की।
हालांकि, उनका लक्ष्य सिविल सेवा में जाना था इसलिए उन्होंने नौकरी छोड़कर उसकी तैयारी शुरू कर दी। यूपीएससी की तैयारी करने के लिये अनु ने अपने बेटे को डेढ़ साल तक खुद से दूर अपने माता-पिता के पास भेज दिया था। समाज के लिये कुछ कर गुजरने का जुनून लेकर पढ़ाई करने वाली अनु खुद पुरखास गांव में अपनी मौसी के पास रहीं।
Meet Anu Kumari, 31
year old mother of a four-year-old, who has secured second position in the just
announced UPSC Civil Exam 2017 results.
Kumari, who used to work with a private
company, left her job two years ago to pursue her dreams.
‘My job was good, but there was no internal satisfaction. It
all became so mechanical that at one point I could not take it anymore,’
She has graduated with
BSc (Hons) in Physics from the Delhi University and has done an MBA (Finance
and Marketing) from IMT, Nagpur
"There was no newspaper in
the village where I was preparing for my exams," the second-rank holder
from Sonipat told NDTV. She resorted to online content for UPSC preparations,
she said.
Sharing her success mantra of cracking the UPSC
Civil Services Exam, Anu Kumari said, "Strong will is necessary to achieve
something in life and if you are able to do that, nothing can stop you from
being successful."
